I started to take a Basics of Buddhism class, four weeks in on a twelve week course. I plan to write more about lessons from the class and continue to practice meditation. Yes, you are right, Gandhi was raised Hindu. My Buddhist textbook contains quotes from a lot of different spiritual leaders, I guess quotes Buddhists agree with!? There are very few Gandhi-like individuals in the world, the rest of us are sinners aspiring to do better. Thanks for the clarification.
